Making your HomePage...
Establishing a web-space starts with an inviting Home Page. Your homepage should contain news and information about your program as well as contact information. Your Homepage is the first thing people see when they visit and should be pleasant and informative. Consider the Homepage synonymous with a newsletter. It should be updated frequently and represent what you are doing. This week we will learn the Weebly Web Builder and set your web-space off to a great start with a comprehensive homepage. As you build your space throughout the weeks, your Homepage will continue to present parents and students alike with new information.
Let's look at the scoring rubric and take a walk through a developed web-space to view the five areas of expectation for a comprehensive site.

Throughout the course, I will maintain and inform you about your progress with a Scoring Rubric for using the different elements of Weebly on each of five categories: Homepage (news and information), Hyperlinks, Media (photos, videos or screencasts), Blog, and Assignments. You will also need to document changes you make to each section on a simple Microsoft Word Document as you progress through the course as week 6 is all about keeping your web-space updated and fluid. You are going through all this to make a spectacular site...you want to peak student interest and have them eager to hunt for your updates!
You will be publishing your site as you go along and once you have completed your site and would like to redirect your link from EdLine, you should contact Ryan McGee or your building IT person as presently you need Administrative privileges to complete the redirection.
