Classroom Assignments..
Please sign in... We will begin tonight with sharing of your blogging experiences. It is important to note your successes as well as any difficulties you might have had. Did your students enjoy the experience? Did they behave responsibly? Was your blog easy to manage?
After sharing, we will go through a variety of Assignment activities. You can call this page whatever you like. It is the page where you post assignments for students to follow up to your class lessons. Your "Assignment" activities are simply work assignments that you make yourself and provide links to or post onto your webspace for student work to be accomplished online. You could link to a Word or Powerpoint file (do feel free to use Pages or Keynote as I feel they are actually nicer to work with), post an Easiteach file for students to complete online as long as you have Easiteach installed on the computer they will use (or have downloaded the Easiteach Reader or Easiteach Lite), or post a video for students to watch and then follow up with a written piece of some sort. This area is also a wonderful place to post follow up Sangari Science assignments or Six Traits Writing assignments to enhance the focus of those programs this year. The possibilities are truly endless!
4:00 Sign in and sharing.
4:30Assignment page description and possibilities: Easiteach or Next Generation slides (Easiteach Reader or Easiteach Lite), Digital Whiteboard Lessons, Power Point Presentations, Microsoft Word documents. Be sure to include information for students to hand in work via email, flash drive, or printing out and handing in.
6:00 Planning your activities and making a web page devoted to Assignments. Remember, you can call it whatever you like however the focus is on student work.
Closing by November 5, 2013 -- Course Evaluation and Assignments -- Assignment Pages and Webspace Updates -- 2 per focus of the course: homepage, hyperlinks, media, Blog/Survey, and Assignments. The Weebly Scoring Rubric will help you here.
